How old is your Pentax Camera?

Also how did you preform the reset?

Thank You,

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I bought it at QVC about 2 months ago. I went to the settings on my menu and scrolled to reset.
Expert:  Michael replied 1 year ago.

Thank you for that info.

That is the way to cause a system reset. But try this as well. Do the reset one more time, but this time, after doing that remove the batteries and then press and hold the power button in for 30 full seconds before replacing the battery pack or individual batteries.

If this help restore normal operation great then please rate my service kindly.

But if not don't rate as of yet but reply to me for additional information.

Thank you for your patience.

There is now power button but a dial that switches it from on to off.
Expert:  Michael replied 1 year ago.

Hi yes on that model you can simply switch it On that way for 30 seconds then back OFF;-)

Expert:  Michael replied 1 year ago.

Just make sure you preform the reset first.

Thanks Mike

Doesn't seem to work it seems to be stuck in auto picture.
Expert:  Michael replied 1 year ago.

Hi, thanks for trying that. Sometimes they simply glitch electronically and will cause problems like this. Unfortunately this isn't the case here.

But you are still ok, but will need to contact QVC for a free replacement camera as they will do gladly since it is still so new and still fully covered under the manufacturers warranty. You can also go through Pentax for this. Info to come in a minute or so.

Also I did some research for you and found no common problems with this camera on a large scale, so your issue seems to be isolated and rare. Also the camera has a lot of excellent reviews so the replacement should work fine for you;-)

You can use this company as I can recommend them highly. They are fast and do excellent work.

but first I would contact QVC or Pentax to see what they recommend, as QVC may replace the camera for you quicker.

Factory authorized service :

QVC warranted issues:***-***-****.

In any case, I will stick with you until this is complete.

Please rate kindly thus far, it won't cost you anything to rate my service to you kindly,

Then you can reach me by simply replying to this message anytime.

Thank you and have a wonderful day!

I am going to contact Pentax.
Expert:  Michael replied 1 year ago.

Hi I would recommend that way as well;-)

I wish I had better news for you but this one has an electronic component failure. Electronic components can fail at anytime by design. look at all the money they spend on things like the space shuttle and satellites. Then they need to go up and repair them sometimes just after they are put into orbit lol.

Please rate kindly at this time, it is the only way I am compensated for my time and expertise with you.

There is NO COST to you for rating.

Thank you and best regards.
