Customer Question

I have had a Fujifilm Finepix F31fd‎ for many many years now. It has been the best camera ever! The batteries last forever & the photo quality is great! To my shock, last week it just stopped working, the batteries are charged but it just won't power on anymore. I am heartbroken. :-(

Hi there and welcome

Sorry to hear about this problem.

Can you remove the batteries and then hold the shutter down for 60 seconds then release.

Then put the batteries back in, turn it on and tell me if it then starts please.

No, that didn't work. I forgot to mention as well that when pushing the pwer button, it sounds like the lens is trying to open, but can't. It's weird.

ok, this can be something in the gearing that is jamming it.

Turn it upside down and put it on something that vibrates, eg an Electric Razor

Then turn it on and off a few times to try to get anything dislodged that is jamming it.

Let me know the results please
