Canon EOS Rebel XSi. While I can adjust to 1SO the aperture

Customer Question

Canon EOS Rebel XSi. While I can adjust to 1SO the aperture is always at 9. From full automatic to any of the other settings it is always at 9. On recent trip this meant that for some pictures taken during the day the camera would take the shot only after holding down the button for several seconds, like a shot taken under darker circumstances. Is there a suggestion or need the camera be sent to Canon for cleaning or repair and if so what is the turn around time as I will be traveling out of the country in 2 about 2 weeks. Thank you

Do you have more than one lens and does the camera respond the same with either lens attached?
