Hi, thank you for contacting My name is***** will do my best to provide the right answer to your question.
How old is the camera? in months or years since you bought it.
Has the camera been dropped or otherwise subjected to mechanical shock(s) in its lifetime?
Has the camera been operated in or subjected to, temperatures below 32 degrees F (freezing point) or above about 100 degrees F ?
Has it ever been subjected to a humidity higher than 85 % or gotten wet ?
Has the camera been operated in a gritty or sandy environment, such as a beach, a seaside, a construction site, or the like?
If the age of the camera is over 1 year and you can say 'yes' to any of those questions about factors that might damage the camera's workings, then you may simply have a camera whose control circuitry have gone bad from abuse and/or neglect, and/or one whose buttons have gotten so dirty that they misregister constantly.
Either way, I suspect that your camera will have to be either sent for repair, or replaced. Which you would choose, is up to you.
However checking out repair options and getting an estimate on its expense is advisable. And, if your camera is less than a year old, and has *not* had poor care taken of it in those respects just mentioned, then you could have it repaired for free under warranty terms, I think.
Let me know what you think, and the answers to those questions about care taken of the camera (or not) and I shall advise you further.
