Hello,
I am Pete, and I'll be happy to assist with your question today.
This message occurs when you try to use more than one function together that cannot be performed at the same time. There's a list of settings that cannot be used together in your manual - there's too many of them to list here.
The best way to get back to a good starting point is to put the camera into one of the creative shooting modes (P, TV, AV, M) then press the Menu button. Access the last setup menu and find the option in the setup menu for clearing all settings. Once you've cleared all the camera's settings, then put it back into the full auto shooting mode and take some test images to make sure everything is working properly.
If you see the message again when trying to make adjustments, then try changing the mode dial to one of the creative modes (P, TV, AV, M) and see if the function your are trying to use is available in those shooting modes.
It may also be possible that the mode dial button is not working correctly and is not properly selecting your chosen mode - try wiggling it a bit and ensure you are in the correct mode if this happens.
If these steps do not help, then you will need to try restoring the camera to its default settings.
Let me know if you need any additional help or assistance,
best,
Pete.
