All of a sudden I can't take pics it reads an error has occured. I am not tech knowledgable with my camera. I set it up once and now its now working HELP!

I really need to take pics of a fire that is happening now across the valley from us.

This error message can occur if the lens is obstructed.
It only takes something as small as a grain of sand to get into the lens mechanism and prevent it from moving.
The error message can also occur if the camera has not been used for a while and the lens mechanism becomes stiff or stuck.
Try using compressed air or a vacuum cleaners to clean around the lens area.
If that doesn't work then the camera will need to be sent for repair.
