I have a Sony HDR-XR15-...
I have a Sony HDR-XR15- Handycam Camcorder. The outer portion of the spring loaded door that closes over the DC & A/VR jackes located on the right side of camera seperated from the spring loaded portion of the door and has been lost. Consequently the spring loaded portion of the door will not lock in the closed position without this outer cover(black in color). I have made numerous phone calls and visited numerous on line sites trying find information about replacing this lost part with out success Can you help me!!!!. . My name is*****

Hello and thank you for your question. I would be happy to help you today. Your camera is virtually the same as the HDR CX150, with the difference being your camera records to an internal hard drive whereas the newer model records to a flash drive. That being said, I am sending you a link for the service manual for the CX150. You can find the part you need there by starting with the Identifying Parts, section 2-1.
