Try removing the memory card and battery.
Leave the camera for a couple of minutes.
Then insert the battery only, and let me know if the camera starts up normally.
If it does, then try inserting the memory card and let me know if it is still ok.
If the problem persists, please let me know if the light stays lit, or if it is blinking.
