Hi. My name is***** own a small camera repair business and am a technician with over 25 years in the business. I'll be glad to help you.
This is usually due to some kind of liquid contamination. I usually clean these surfaces with isopropyl alcohol and an old tooth brush. Su***** *****quids, like colas, are better cleaned with warm water and a tooth brush as sugar does not desolve with alcohol. Be sure to remove the battery first and don't over do it with the cleaning solution. You just want to clean the contaminated surfaces and not get excess liquid inside the camera.
