Can you remove the battery and wait 10 minutes.
Then put the battery back in, turn it on and tell me if you now get it showing please.

i removed the battery over 10 minutes ago and just tried it again. nothing

I want to reset the camera.
Can you while it is on, hold the ISO and White Balance buttons for 6 seconds and release.
Wait 1 minutes then check if you still have the problem.

It is the internal memory that has faulted. And ti will be the segments that control the internal display
A corrupted firmware can cause this. But we have ruled this out now by reinstalling it.
It is lucky it still takes photos.
I am really sorry about this and you are going to have to return the device to have it replaced. It will be covered by the warranty if this has not expired, and the replacement will be done at no cost to you.
