I attempted to install a...
I attempted to install a new memory card in my Canon 7D digital camera. At first I inserted the card the wrong way (at 90 degrees to the way it should be inserted). I didn't think I pushed really hard, but when I figured out the right way to put it in, when I turned the camera on I got a message saying "Card not accessed. Reinsert card or try a new card." I reinserted the card and got the same message. I tried another card and got the same message. Is there any way I can fix this or do I have to take it in to a Canon authorized shop?

You will have bent one of the pins in the reader when you did this.
To correct this you will need to dissemble it and straighten the pins but it is a difficult job and unless you have experience with electronics, it i advised to take it into an authorized repairer and have them do this.
