Customer Question

I have a D7100 with a 70x300 5.6G telephoto lens. I am thinking about adding a TC14 111 for safari photography. Are these compatible? The web has a lot of conflicting comments. Thank you

The combination will work, I use it for birds on my D200, but, extenders work better with non-zoom telephoto lenses, especially when using Auto Focus. In addition, you mus keep in mind that a 5.6 lens is really not very fast and you will lose at least 2 stops, down to f8-f11.
