I have a Nikon s70...
I have a Nikon s70 coolpix. I keep getting lens error. I have tried turning it off and on but I keep getting error message. I bought the camera about 6 months ago and have had no trouble until now. I have not dropped it and camera has not had any damage to it. Any help will be welcomed. Thanks

Hi,

 

While there are a number of probable causes for the problem that you are experiencing, with a camera that is this new, the most common one being sand or grit in the gears, the second being a factory defect. I have a number of suggestions and sources of information for dealing with this type of issue, but, if warranty repair is possible, the "DIY" route should not be considered. All Nikon cameras like yours have a 1 year warranty, so contact them first at the link below If that does not work out, let me know and I can give you some other ideas.

I was hoping to get an answer on how I might repair my camera. I already knew the address to send the camera to the Nikon repair. Because it seems the camera cannot be repaired by myself I sent the camera today. I'm sorry but you did not solve or provide any information to help me.
