Wlcome to Justanswer.

Can you tell me how old is the camera?

Do you find the on/off switch stuck?

Also, do you hear any clicking sound when you try to turn it on?

About 2 just never came back on from working fine 5 minutes prior. Like I said, we are at disney...I don't know if it may get too hot..I was near a steam place for the kids to cool off that kind of blew cool mist around & it did hit me a little while the camera was around my neck but it worked past that.

Okay, there are two things things you can do(actually three, but you've replaced the batteries so won't ask to replace again). First is cleaning battery contacts on both camera as well as battery.
Second, trying to turn the camera ON after connecting the camera to computer.

The above steps are to be performed serially. If still it won't work, then the problem is with the internal circuitry of the camera and its not a user-replaceable part. Usually a cold joint on soldering can cause this. For testing the main PCB for cold joint you'll need to use a multimeter, soldering iron and ofcourse the camera has to be disassembled. You can try for repair. Or else contact Sony Authorized Service Center. In my opinion, the repair should cost you around $70. Hope it helps. If you have any other queries then I would be glad to assist you further.
