You can install cannon software in your PC .After installation the software please connect the camera with the PC


Press click START---->RUN and type devmgmt.msc and press enter (XP)


Device Manager Will open up.

Look for any ! or ? mark beside any device name.

If you can see it then right click on the device name and select Uninstall.

Restart the PC check the issue and let me know.

Thats mean driver is ok . You can change the USB cable and try it, hope your problem can be fix
