I have a Z712IS camera...
I have a Z712IS camera. I wanted to transfer pictures from my casmera to the computer. I just received a USB B8 accessory to do so. Unfortunately, when I turn the camera on the green light just keeps going on and off and the lens does not extend out. It's almost as if it doesn't have enough power. We changed the battery and still it makes a little noise without the lens coming out. What's the problem.

Have you installed the Easyshare software on your computer?

 

Is the camera behaving in the way described above when not connected by usb to the computer?

The camera works fine for me when not connected. I have the disc in front of me for Kodak Easy Share, but I do not believe it has been installed. I'm just not sure.

Easyshare cameras tend to need the software application on the computer in order to connect. If you are running Windows XP or Vista, install the disk and connect your camera following the instructions on page 43 of the user guide. If you do not have the manual handy you can download a pdf copy at the link below. Click on or copy and paste the link into your browser and save the document on your computer
