My panasonic lumix DMC-FS15 says "system error (focus)". I can take a picture and when I turn off the camera the focus knob doesn't retract. How do I fix this?

Thanks for your question.
I am afraid the problem is with the motor assembly that controls the lens..
Its not able to move the camera lens to autofocus..Please turn off the unit and unplug it from power supply and remove the batteries. Restart it after 30 minutes. That should reset it.
Try with a new set of batteries. Make sure the contacts between the battery and camera are clean.
