    Hi! I have a 6 year old female guinea pig who will bleed from her bottom about once every other month. During that time, she seems to be in no pain. Then, it will go away and she is fine - poops look good, eating, drinking fine, etc.
    JA: Hi there. I'll do all I can to help. How badly is the guinea pig bleeding?
    Customer: The last time this happened about a week ago - we thought she was going to die. She became listless, off food/water, seemed constipated, Bleeding quite a bit- about quarter size spots. Once, I picked her up and blood dripped/squirted out. A few days later she passed a lot of soft poop, about the size of a gum eraser - consistency of soft serve ice cream. And then she was okay again... She is still doing well, but I was wondering what this could be and if there was anything we could do for her at home to make her comfortable if/when this happens again. We know she is old and don't want to traumatize her with surgery.
    JA: What's the guinea pig's name and age?
    Customer: Her name is ***** ***** is 6-7 years old. Resuce. not sure of exact age.
