Hello, We have a XXXXX XXXXX 14 years old, with arthritis, cataracts, quite deaf.
He's been a lovely pet, obedient, toilet trained etc.
Lately, he's been sleeping for about 4 hours at a time during the day, morning & afternoon.
He's eating OK, but he has loose bowels and has very little warning to get outside. This has been going on for the past week.
As of the past 2 weeks he has been losing hair (it's winter time here in Australia) in clumps.
We live in a remote town with no vets for many hours of travel over unmade roads.
Do you have any suggestions or recommendations.
My husband wonders what we could feed him to bind up his stools.
I am wondering if we're being kind to him.
    Hope you can help. x
