I have a dog who is 1 1/2 years old chihuahua and possibly wiener dog mix. Long ears and short hair. He is inside the house for most of the time. The very tips of both ears look lscabby and he shakes his head very fast and hard and the tips begin to bleed. No ear infection and both ears look clear. Any idea what could be the cause?

Customer: it happens here and there. It’s not very badly and it seems to happen after he shakes his head so hard. He doesn’t seem bothered by it much and I can touch the ears without him pulling away

JA: Is there anything else the Vet should know about Jack?
Customer: i do have a cat. I was also thinking maybe food allergies? I change his food kinda often because he seems to not like anything dry. He will hold off eating but try all day to get my food then give in around 7pm and eat his. I only give him hard food but he does get lots of snacks from my plate. And I don’t think he has any fleas that I have ever noticed

I asked "just answer" for a veterinarian on Nov 8 due to my fish jumping out of his aquarium ...... he is a 4 yr old male BETTA and quite the boy. when he jumped out, he landed all the way from the counter down to the concrete tile floor......
he was still living and breathing so of course I put him back in the acquarium ....... and to my utter dismay, he could not swim upright .......it seemed as tho he was disoriented or worse...... I changed his water and have taken most of the water out of the aquarium so he lays on a VERY Very LARGE leaf ....... he is still alive 3 days later and I encourage him off the leaf 2-3 x a day to see if his swim has returned.............
unfortunately he seems disoriented and unable to right himself ......
what can I do to help him? he is trying ............
