Customer Question

She threw up, weak, won't eat. She is 2 years old and normally very active. She just started on Sentinuel heart worm pill 3 months ago. My kids thinks this heartworm medication is making her sick. She has all of her shots. She is my baby!
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully it didn't make a mess. Did your baby eat anything unusual?
Customer: I don't think so but she does eat everything. I have been giving her water from an eye dropper.
JA: OK. The Expert will know what to do. What is the baby's name?
Customer: Princess!
JA: Is there anything else the Veterinarian should be aware of about Princess?
Customer: She is beautiful & smart! She hasn't been sick before this.

Hello & welcome, I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you today. I do apologize that your question was not answered before. Different experts come online at various times; I just came online, read about your wee one’s situation, and wanted to help.

Again I do apologize that my colleagues could not aid you sooner, but can you tell me:

How long has she been showing signs?

What does her vomit look like?

Can she keep water down?

Are her gums pink or white/pale? Moist or sticky?

If you press on her belly, any tensing, tenderness, discomfort, or pain?

Could she have eaten anything harmful (ie bones, toys, plants, chemicals, human meds, etc)?

Any diarrhea?
