Customer Question

Our goldendoodle, weight 65#s, just took a musinex she gound in laundry. Will this harm her?
JA: What sort of animal are we talking about?
Customer: our goldendoodle dog
JA: OK. I'll do all I can to help. What is the matter with the dog?
Customer: She took a musinex. She shows no symptoms as yet.
JA: Where does the dog seem to hurt?
Customer: the dog doesnt show symptoms. I m concerned about the liklihood of reaction to musinex.
JA: OK. No obvious pain. Can you see anything that looks wrong or different?
Customer: no but is the musinex a risk for her to have taken.
JA: Is the dog eating normally?
Customer: just took the pill and has not eaten or had any thing to drink
JA: The Veterinarian will know if the dog will be able to digest that. Is there anything else important you think the Veterinarian should know about the dog?

Do you know which mucinex it was? There is one for chest congestion, one for cough and chest congestion, and one for multi-symptom.

Or do you have the box with the list of ingredients?

Customer: replied 6 months ago.

Thank you so much.

That could cause some dizziness, vomiting, diarrhea, or lethargy.

Dogs can take guanifenesin.

And he is a larger dog so I would not expect anything serious.

If he does not eat for more than 24 hours, his gums turn pale, or he vomits and he can not keep water down for more than 12 hours then he should see a vet.

Give him a meal right now to help absorb some of the medication.

There is a also a possibility he will not have any signs at all since he is a larger boy.

Does that help? Do you have any other questions for me?
