Welcome! I would be happy to assist you. I am a 2003 graduate from UC Davis and a Medical Director of a veterinarian practice.

Don't forget, I will do everything possible to provide a timely and detailed response, but sometimes it can be difficult to fully answer all questions. You can always select "reply to expert" if you need further clarification or more information, prior to providing a rating.

I am sorry to hear about this concern. Do not induce vomiting. Can be dangerous.

Ideally, I would recommend getting into an ER vet for an abdominal x-ray first, so they can see how many bone fragments, what sizes and shapes, to determine how serious this may be.

If you elect to wait, here are the primary symptoms that would warrant immediate veterinary care.

If you observe any of the following, you'll want to get into a ER veterinarian for better supportive care:
- persistent vomiting or trying to vomit
- bad diarrhea or bloody diarrhea
- poor appetite that persists
- excessive panting to suggest nausea or pain
- bloated belly appearance or a tense belly

The visit now and x-ray would be ideal and the safest course of action.
Hope that information helps. Definitely, reply to me before rating, if you have further questions. I want to do the best I can to assist you.

Please remember to provide a rating before you leave. Justanswer will hold your deposit, but the expert is not acknowledged by the website without any rating. My family does greatly appreciate it if I have been helpful or informative. If any difficulties or UNABLE to rate, please let me know!

You may also select REPLY TO EXPERT if for any reason you need more information BEFORE RATING. I would be happy to try and be of the greatest assistance possible before you provide a rating.

REMEMBER: Even after you submit feedback, you can still review our discussion or reply if needed. Unfortunately, I cannot legally prescribe medications or offer a definitive diagnosis without performing a physical examination, which is necessary to establish a client-patient-doctor relationship. Any medical therapy and treatment should only be performed after an in-person examination with your veterinarian.
