My dog just drank some water that had a paint roller soaking

Resolved Question:

My dog just drank some water that had a paint roller soaking in it. I don't think that he drank too much but should I be trying to find a 24-hour vet to rush him to? I gave him some fresh water right away? What else should I do?

Hi, thanks for your question! Was the roller used in Latex paint, or Oil-based paint?
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
It was Latex paint.

OK, thanks. This ingestion would be expected to be or relatively low risk. There are reports of dogs consuming pure undiluted latex paint, and having only digestive upset as the main issue, so a few laps of water from cleaning paint off of a roller, would be expected to cause mild stomach upset. I would not expect a significant risk of any other issues.
