If she was swimming or received a bath recently this could be a condition called swimmers tail or limber tail. It is a neuropathy with an unknown mechanism that causes this limp tail and restlessness. These dogs will recover in a week or so but often respond to antinflammatory drugs. Now, this is an unusual breed to see this in but it can occur. Being a dachshund, you must be concerned about other spinal issues. This breed is very prone to intervertebral disc problems. A tumor associated with the spinal cord is also possible but with breed, a disc issue is much more likely. I would recommend seeing your vet. I would often recommend aspirin for swimmers tail, but this can interfere with your vets treatment options if this is a disc issue. I hope this helps and gives you direction. Thanks
