I think my 9 month old maltese puppy (5.2 lbs) may have eaten

I think my 9 month old maltese puppy (5.2 lbs) may have eaten the berry from a cotoneaster shrub. I'm not sure because she did have her mouth on the branch but I saw no leaves missing nor were there berries on that particular branch. The berries were on the next branch over maybe 6 inches away from where she was standing with her mouth on the plant. I tried to pry her mouth open but it was empty. She likes to chew sticks and will sometimes chew at the grass but I've never noticed her taking an interest in this small low bush may not have had berries until recently....I'm not sure. She was startled when I yelled at her but she's been acting perfectly fine for the last hour since I brought her in. I do have hydrogen peroxide but am not sure I want to induce vomiting since she has no symptoms.

These berries can be toxic if ingested, but this tends to occur with more chronic ingestion. The typical signs are gastrointestinal in nature wtih vomting and diarrhea being the most common issue. If you are seeing these signs, then consider a vet visit as he/she may be able to help with flushing the symptoms as well as alleviating the signs. I hope this helps and gives you peace of mind.
