My 8 month old female pup has had a couple days of loose stools.

Resolved Question:

My 8 month old female pup has had a couple days of loose stools. Se started out with a night of throwing up. She is pretyy playful still. Eating fairly well. Drinking pretty well also. Stools started out very runny now is loose but better. Gums have good color. nose wet. Should I take her in. I have been trying keep her on a bit blan diet for the last few days?

Hi There-

It sounds like things are getting better. I would continue to monitor her and keep an eye on her activity levels and general attitude. If she were to stop being active, stop eating, or start throwing up again then you might want to take her in. I would also have your vet check a stool sample for parasites if you haven't already. Once the stool is firm, you can slowly transition her back to dog food.

I hope that helps!

We are feeding her rice with a little egg and very small amount of chicken. Is this a good thing?
