Ok. If an 11 pound dog eats 1.5 oz of dark chocolate, that is enough for a toxicity. 4 oz definitely is a toxic dose. It puts him at risk for vomiting, diarrhea, tremors, seizures and in severe reactions death. Since he just ingested it, making him vomit will help to reduce the amount in his system. You can do this at home by following the instructions on this site with the use of hydrogen peroxide.

If you don't feel comfortable doing this, getting to an ER clinic and having them do it. After vomiting, we still have to assume there is chocolate in the stomach so activated charcoal is typically given and the patient is kept in the hospital on IV fluids to help flush the toxin out of their system.

Here is a very good link on chocolate toxicity.http://www.VeterinaryPartner.com/Content.plx?P=A&S=0&C=0&A=1762
