My lab, who is about a year and half cut her paw on the pad. It is not bleeding but it does hurt her a lot. She keeps licking it and the other challenge is she is REALLY playful. What should I do? It doesn't look really deep but it is hard to get her to settle down when I look at it. I appreciate your feedback.
Thank you!
Hi there Julie.

Clean the wound with peroxide and then place neosporin on it and wrap it so she cannot lick it. then give her aspirin at 5 mg per pound of her weight given every 12 hrs. This will decrease the pain and this should heal just fine. You may have to get someone to help you if she is very rambunctious.

Good Luck, Julie!
