Hello Ive got a mens health question today. Let me give a brief history of my symptoms: Last year around christmas I hurt my penis during sex. It happened early in the morning with out proper lubrication and my doctor said it should heal on its own and to hold out on sexual activity until then. At the time I was still able to do a little every week or so with my girlfriend being very careful, and in a month the aching that I had near the tip healed itself.Well the same thing happened again in october, early morning sex and after that specific point in time that same pain returned and in the same way. I was like oh no, not again ! Im very sexually active with my girlfriend and have been for years, its a part of my every day life and provides me a healthy stress outlet so this was concerning to happen again. We did the same thing, carefully every week or so wed try something to pass the time but each time wed try it would seemingly set me back and would arise more pain. This went on for a month before I went to an emergency room because I dont have a regular doctor right now, switching from kaiser to sutter health. And I was really worked up because at this point it had been so long that it should've healed by then, treating it the same way as previous only seemed to hurt me more. It turned into a pain that arose every time id get an erection, and sometimes during the flacid state after trying anything. The doctor said that it may be a torn frenulum. I believe thats what he said, may be wrong. Something about the fibrous tissue having a tear from vigoros sex that opens up every errection. thus causing pain, and getting worse when pressure is applied. and should heal itself. However with how long its been, definitely dont try anything and if it gets worse seek a urologist. Well fast forward to now, its healed probably 4 or 5 times. And each time It seems like I cant wait long enough to hold off on sex because its gotten to where theres no pain, and each time i get an errection day by day it gets less and less painful until im on day two of normality. However each time that happens, even doing the littlest amount of activity i keep getting set back again. And now the last time I have done anything is january 1st. Since then again no sexual activity, however consistent pain during erections in the morning. For a second, having only came probably 8 times since late september my erections were constant and painful. Happening throughout the day, keeping me sore. I saw this as obvious cause and effect, errections keep the tears torn, block healing and basically only extend my healing process. I got my erections under control after a hard week, and now I only get them in the morning/ maybe once very quickly thought the day. However its been weeks now of being super super diligent with this protocol, and still my erections hurt. Any time I even start an erection, it hurts. I felt it getting more and more strong day by day, less painful with each erection. But ive hit a hard two days, each morning having very prominent erections that seemingly "mess me up" for the following day. Making it seem like what little progress ive gained is gone, and making each remotely possible erection throughout the day especially aching. The internet says it may take two months to heal, i recognize from the last point of intimacy its been less than one month. But it has been since last September in total now, and I really really need to be back here soon. For me and my girlfriend, this is a big divide and causes me daily personal grief. For a guy who got it off once maybe twice a day, going off onto now maybe 8 times total since september I cant take another month like this. Not without any reassurance that IT WILL BE OKAY AND WILL WORK atleast. Maybe if your opinion helps me know im doing it right, I can make it. Ive held out on a urologist because again im switching doctors and just got medi cal which is hard to find a specialist that can accept. Im very busy and broke, so spending hundreds OR finding a proper urologist will both be quite tasking on my schedule. Do i need to go in, or will I heal? I dont want to spend hundreds for a "you just need to heal" type deal, Id want a fix you know? And finding a good doctor who takes my insurance near me is super tough, vie tried before for a throat/nose/chest specialist for another problem and ended up having to pay out of pocket in the end. Im just washing the area daily in the shower and soaking in either a bath or hot shower water each day, but thats the extent of my home treatment aside from avoiding erections at all costs. Id love another oppionon on this on weather theres more ways to treat this at home or If I absolutely need to go in. Either way, Obviously as quick and cost efficient as possible. But also if i need to go in, lets get it over with and heal.
