VerifiedHello! I have read your concern. What you were told is right. Its actually 6-8 weeks but can be as long as 3-12 months. # moths is the mean time to have the swelling subside. What you can do is put a pillow on you back to alleviate swelling while lying, avoid long standing hours, sit if you must. apply warm compress on the affected area if you have time. Take some anti inflammatory agent like Ibuprofen every 8 hourts for 5 days. Wear atleast a supporter brief if you can. This all should help you. I wish you luck!
