Hello from JustAnswer. This is Dr. Love.

Blood erythrocytes typically are not reported as mg/l.

Could you attach the lab report?

It’s says HI 2
Urologist: Dr. D. Love, Doctor replied 4 months ago

The "2" may be referring to a footnote.

If you can attach the report, then I can interpret it better. Not only because of the erythrocyte level, but a proper interpretation would include reviewing the other results on the report (Hgb, Hct, MCV, etc.).

I have not heard back with any further information, but I will be going to bed shortly and wanted to provide what comments I can.

Erythrocytes in the blood is usually reported as millions of cells/microliter, rather than mg/l.

The normal range in those units is about 4.7 to 6.1, although the normal range may vary slightly from one lab to another.

If the erythrocyte count is elevated, but the other values that I mentioned above are all normal, then the erythrocyte count is not worrisome and does not have any clinical significance.

If I can provide any additional information, please let me know.
