Hello I'm Dr Chip

Has she had any tests or studies to evaluate this?

Customer reply replied 8 months ago
All her labs are always normal and she had a body CT for post lymphoma 1 year ago

Has she had a kidney ultrasound and cystoscopy?

No

Has her doctor had any comments about this?

Ask Your Own Urology Question

he thought a routine urology exam was proper

You mean for her to see a urologist?

Ask Your Own Urology Question

It hasn't changed in 15 years. Same urinalysis results. Yes

OK

Most likely the microscopic hematuria here is what we call clinically insignificant--not signifying any medical condition

And since she's had it for so long I think that's probably the case here

That said, it could be a sign of either kidney or bladder cancer so I would check that out with cystoscopy

Please let me know if you need any more information

Thank you to the Physician who answered my question today. The answer was far more informative than what I got from the Physicians I saw in person for my problem.

You have been more help than you know. I seriously don't know what my sisters situation would be today if you had not gone above and beyond just answering my questions.
