Customer Question

I have an infected cyst in my urethra. It was found during a urone sample as my problem with burning had not cleared up. The dip stick had puss and traves of blood. I will be seeing a gynourologost. Can you tell me what is going to happen, and if there what the after effects will be including is there any chance of cancer with this kind of cyst?

Hello and welcome. I'm Dr Chip

You'll need to have the cyst surgically removed after the infection clears up

No, no chance of cancer and really no side effects from the surgery--it's a very simple procedure
