Customer Question

I just had an MRI of my liver and biliary duct and was told that i have a rather fatty liver and that my biliary duct looked to be dilated but there was no stone and was told it was nothing to worry about. I also have an history of bile duct stones and infections and i have alot of pain in my right side so i am still very concerned as to what could be causing this pain and what i can do about it.

This is Dr. David

fatty liver often comes from being overweight

and also taking in too much soda, high fructose corn syrup and carbs and calories.

taking in too much motrin can cause gastritis and duodenal ulcers which can cause pain in the right upper abdomen.

gall stones can cause inflammation there as well.

a right upper quadrant ultrasound is better to check for gall stones

did you have a closed or open MRI scan?
