Do you have a history of diverticulitis? Have you recently had any catheters in the bladder or any surgical procedure?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No,I haven't had anything done
Expert:  Dr. Y. replied 1 year ago.
Ok. This air is concerning for either a urine infection or a connection between your bladder and rectum called a fistula. You need to get in to see a urologist for a CT scan and cystoscopy to determine if you have this fistula. If you do, then you will need to have surgery to fix this fistula. This is something that will it heal on its own. Hope this helps and let me know if you have questions.

What's a fistula

It is a connection between 2 organs that should not be there. This can happen from chronic inflammation.

What might have caused this
Expert:  Dr. Y. replied 1 year ago.
It is almost always a result of an episode of diverticulitis.
