Customer Question

I had a bladder infection that was caused by holding urination too long. I was given an antibiotic to clear up the bladder infection. Later i was still having some of the same symptoms so then my doctor put me on a medicine for bladdee spasms. Today, ai mostly just have alittle leakage of urine. Can this be resolved with over the counter medicine?

What medicine did your doctor put you on? Is your leakage of urine just associated with the urgency to urinate

Neither of those medications are antibiotics. They only help stop the pain. In order to treat your infection, you should be started on an antibiotic based on your urine culture results.

If that doesn't help , then your doctor should start you on a medication such as oxybutynin to stop bladder spasms that can be causing your symptoms. This problem cannot be solved with over the counter medicines.
