Hello!

No amoxicillin alone was not tested vs both of these bacteria.

Both were tested and susceptible to ampicillin which is very CLOSE but not exactly the same ....

Both bacteria were susceptible to Cipro, Levofoxacin, even tetracycline ..

Note than amoxicillin / clavulonic acid is = to AUGMENTIN ( not amoxicillin)

Some of the intermediate results for the first bacteria to. Cephalosporin antibiotics (cefazolin, cefepime) would lead to more potential worry that amoxicillin alone might not be as effective as we would want to see ideally...

With your situation I think a prevention program would be in your best interest as well....( daily Vitamin C 500mg once or twice a day...consideration of a low dose preventive antibiotic such as mortification...

Both bacteria are susceptible to nitrofurantoin as well...

I hope that this information is helpful for you.If you have further questions or discussion then I will be happy to get back with you...

So I think that there are better and more certain options to treat your UTI....follow up urine at completion of the amoxicillin is an option here...

If my answers have been helpful and to your satisfaction then please remember to leave positive feedback.Thank You and Best Regards,
