Mucus is a sign of inflammation. This can be from diarrhea, colitis, food intolerances or allergies, or viruses. If you have no blood, dark tarry stools, or abdominal pain see your dr. Otherwise try a bland diet, probiotics, and plenty of water for 2-3 days should get better if food intolerance. If it continues then your dr can test you for food allergies or celiac disease and colitis.
