what are some signs of having a "dead Kidney" ?
Generally there are no symptoms of a nonfunctional kidney. Kidneys that no longer are working, for any number of reasons, typically shrink and do not cause any pain. That being said, the symptoms you have described are unlikely to be coming from a kidney problem, and almost definitely not a urologic problem if you had a normal CT scan recently. Also, pain in you back near the location of your kidney is more suggestive of a musculoskeletal problem, either a pulled muscle or something related to your back. The uncontrollable sweating could be any number of things and by itself is very hard to comment on. If it is new and not going away or worsening, you should see your medical doctor for an evaluation. I hope this helps.
