This answer was rated:

Had an accident last night turning right at roundabout. Hit another car which was on roundabout. Occupants apparently OK. Had had a couple of glasses of wine with friends and a meal. Callibrator read 44. Blood test given. No previous convictions. What can I expect please?

Have you ever been in trouble with the police?

If the blood reading comes back over the legal limit of 81 then you will be charged with driving with excess alcohol. Since you accept driving and having consumed some alcohol its unlikely you'll have a defence to the charge.

If you plead guilty (or are found guilty after a trial), the Court will disqualify you for a minimum of 12 months possibly more as there was an accident. The court will also impose a fine and costs.
