How can I gift / transfer shares to my partner (not married)

This answer was rated:

Thanks for your question

I totally agree with you, that unmarried couples are penalised, but I am afraid any transfer between you, will result in a capital gain position arising, unless you are married.

Do feel free to ask any follow up questions, but it would be appreciated if you could rate the level of service I have provided (or press accept) as this ensures I am paid.

Thanks

Thanks
