Customer Question

I have a flat which has been unoccupied for 2 years. It has a sime super 90 plus combi, which is failing to ignite
JA: I'll do all I can to help. How long have you been dealing with this?
Customer: just yesterday
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: if it's not too technical, I'm fairly handy, electrician
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: the water pressure was initially down, due to a longstanding radiator leak. I've set that up to 2.1b as indicated on the fromnt gauge front
JA: How long has this been going on? And how severe is the problem?
Customer: It's been unoccupied for 2 years, I assume it all worked ok before then as a family was living there

Hi I would suggest checking you have a gas supply to the boiler and perhaps venting it
If you dont fancy doing this then you will need to attempt to start it quite a few times before gas will get to the boiler, if its been empty for that long.
