Customer Question

I have a ferroli optima boiler, it wont ignite. replaced air pressure switch and fan. notices that the flap to the smoke box is constantly open. should it be closed? is there a spring missing that should keep it closed during the start up sequence and then open during operation and the change in pressure ?
JA: I'll do all I can to help. How long have you been dealing with this?
Customer: all week, the problem occoured after cleaning which is why im wondering id there is a missing spring
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: yes, ive done all of the work
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: if ib blow or such on the tube from the pressure switch and keep hold of it the boiler will fire and run normally so its definitely related to the was the pressure works inside the boiler
