Hi, I have a Worcester...

Hi, I have a Worcester Greenstar 30si boiler which works fine when I switch it on and off manually, the problem is that when it is switched to the timer it will not kick in. The timer ticks round fine. If I switch it to timer from the on position the heating will stay on and if I switch it to timer from the off position it will not fire up when it should. The timer selection doesn't appear to work at all?

It could quite simply be a faulty timer.
Is it on the boiler?

Hi Andrew, yes it is on the boiler.

Ok, so now way of wiring around it as it is joined by a small interlink cable internally and plugs onto the PCB.
A way around this would be to leave it on permanent on the timer and introduce a programmable room thermostat?

Ok, but you think it may be a faulty timer which I believe can be replaced?

Yes, quite expensive, but a very simple swap.
A programmable room stat could be cheaper
