VerifiedHi my name is ***** ***** lets see if we can get you sorted in the shortest possible time. You should check the pressure in the bladder side of the expansion vessel in case it has split. If it has split then there is no room for expansion and the water will discharge through the PRV.
Light and empty would be no water which just proves the bladder is intact and not holding water.
If the bladder has no pressure in it then there is no air cushion for the water to expand against and blows out the PRV when heated and expands.
Test the bladder like you would a car tyre with the inflation point and use a bicycle pump if low.
