VerifiedHi there, I assume the boiler you have is a Glowworm model?
If so, I may be able to help. In view of the fact you've had no other reply so far even if my help is of no use, it's possible this could be an easy one. Little experience with Glowworm, but lots of experience with Vaillant who now own Glowworm and share parts on some models. Furthermore, this particular model used to bear the Vaillant badge before they bought Glowworm. I remember some prevalent faults, including the one you have here with overheat.
The "lot of water noise" suggests there is still air in the system - or that the pump speed is set too high. Check that the pump speed is set as on the previous one, or if it's set at "III", switch it down to "II".
I assume this fault has only just materialised since having the pump fitted? If not there are numerous installation characteristics/defects that can affect this particular boiler.
