Worcester 28CDI - The pressure...

Worcester 28CDI - The pressure on my bioler has dropped to almost 0 (way below red line). I'm following the instructions to increase the pressure by sticking the plastic key in and turning the grey knob but water is coming out and as a result the pressure isn't rising. Any advice?

The knob is being turned to the left and the water is coming out underneath from (and through) the plastic key.

Can you ensure that the key is all the way in and turned to the lock position. You have to line up the arrow on the key to the unlock position and push it all the way in, then turn it to the locked position before you fill. Does the key have an o ring around the top?

I have pushed it all the way in. It's difficult to tell because there aren't really obvious bits to lock into place but when it seems locked (i.e. tightly wedged) it leaks water when the grey knob is turned. The knob itself seems to have perished as well because it comes off fairly easily. One of the rubber rings has perished slightly (only half there) but that wouldn't seem to account for all the water as it's quite a steady flow. Can I still run the system even though the pressure is low or should I turn it off?

This is the knob to the left and not to the right? The one on the right is a boiler drain.

No. The instructions say to use the grey knob and that's the one I'm usingn (it's on the right of the key).

The other one doesnt' seem to do anything. I've had the people who owned the house before me around and they said I'm doing everything they used to but water never used to come out. Can I keep the heating on?

I would not use it if the water pressure is that low. There are built in safeties that will kick in if there is a problem.

You will have to get someone to repair that part or fit an additional filling loop below the boiler on the pipework.
