I'll try again! Lost broadband connection after submitting my problem before.

My Glow Worm Flexicom 18hx boiler is 4 years old. The plumber who installed it has serviced it and has been back again to check the central heating system as I have intermittently found F1 and F22 Faults displayed. The main problem is that we aren't getting hot water - it's only tepid- so that we are having to utilise the immersion heater.The central heating is working okay.

It may or may not be significant but several weeks ago I found that the stop cock out under the pavement was not turned on fully by just a fraction. When I turned it on fully the pressure of the mains cold tap increased substantially. We are the last bungalow on the cold water mains supply.

My plumber already tried that but to no avail. He checked the pump and as already stated tested out the central heating after draining some of the central heating fluid out. I asked him why we got hot water via the immersion heater and not the boiler. His response was that the immersion heater utilised a different outlet from the cylinder. The cylinder is 20 years old and was not replaced when the new boiler was installed 4 years ago. I formed the impression from what he said in the first instance when he serviced the boiler after the F1 and F22 error messages first appeared that perhaps the outlet to the boiler could have become corroded/partially blocked.

HAVE I GOT TO LEAVE MY BROWSER SWITCHED ON WAITING FOR AN ANSWER? I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR TWO AND A HALF HOURS NOW.

Sorry, been travelling back from work. If the heating works OK, then it could be a scaled up coil in the cylinder causing a restriction. Are there any valves on the feed or return pipe from the side of the cylinder?
