Question Summary
Occasionally there is a very loud rumbling noise in our hot water cylinder. The boiler was installed in Sept 04 Yes a flashing red light It is not doing it at the moment.Answer Summary
How old is your boiler?Also the pump is controlled from the same pcb and if it is playing up the boiler could be running without the pump. Can you check to see if the pump is spinning or vibrating?It still sounds like the infamous PCB fault, that would cure the pump overrun as well.

VerifiedHi my name is XXXXX XXXXX lets see if we can get you sorted in the shortest possible time. The Suprima's are notorious for bad PCB's. So bad that now they issue a rewiring kit with it. How old is your boiler? Also the pump is controlled from the same pcb and if it is playing up the boiler could be running without the pump.
The last time I bought a pcb kit it cost about £280. Anything cheaper would be an advantage to you.
